Public Speaker's Convention

This year’s Public Speakers Convention will delve into the profound keynote topic, "Living through Stereotypes and Microaggressions as a Black Person." The convention promises a thought-provoking exploration of the experiences faced by individuals navigating stereotypes and microaggressions within the context of their identity as Black individuals. 

Attendees can expect engaging discussions, impactful presentations, and a platform for open dialogue surrounding these crucial issues. The event schedule includes an insightful pause between 11:30 am and 12:00 pm, providing attendees with an opportunity to network, share perspectives, and absorb the valuable insights presented.

Attendees will enjoy an array of engaging activities, including traditional music and dance performances, art exhibitions showcasing the creativity of these regions, and interactive displays delving into the history and traditions that shape African and Caribbean cultures. There will also be opportunities for students to actively participate, fostering a sense of community and understanding. 

From delicious culinary delights to insightful presentations, Cultural Day aims to foster unity, awareness, and appreciation for the diversity that thrives within the African and Caribbean communities.

The first event of the Winter 2024 色抖视频 Architecture Lecture Series is scheduled for Thursday, January 25 at 5:40pm in the Lecture Hall. The guest lecturer will be Métis architect Tiffany Shaw from .

This lecture is presented by the Ontario Association of Architects. It is free and open to all. Please note that this lecture qualifies for two Ontario Association of Architects Continuing Education Structured Learning Hours.

Interprofessional Health Luncheon

Join the One School, One Book discussion of Moon of the Crusted Snow

The Architecture Library invites you to join the One School, One Book discussion of on Thursday, March 7 at 6 pm in the Architecture Library led by Professor Tammy Gaber. The author, Waubgeshig Rice, will be joining us to discuss this book, along with its sequel .

If you haven't had a chance to read this book yet, copies are available at the Architecture Library, and additional copies are available through the public library.

All are welcome to meet the author and join the discussion whether you have read the book or not.
